Please Welcome Our U11A Head Coach 2024-2025

My name is Rob Mitchell, I am excited to be returning as a Head Coach with Ottawa Valley Silver Seven at the U11 - “A” level for the upcoming 2024-25 season. I am really looking forward to a very
competitive season built around player development and creating the best environment for our players.
On behalf of the Silver Seven association, I would like to welcome all 2014 birth year players trying out and wish you the best of luck in the tryout process. Updated and Detailed information related to tryouts will be posted through the summer.
Intentions for the upcoming season are to create a program in a highly competitive fun and challenging environment built around player development and competing at the highest level possible, while preparing players for their future hockey years ahead. Every session on the ice will be well organized and structured to give players the best opportunity to grow both as individuals and as part of our team.
We will create a culture of hard work, teamwork and respect for the game, that promotes a fun safe
and inclusive environment where players can come to the rink and enjoy their time. I will be
providing the required coaching and direction to ensure all players dedicate themselves to improve
and achieve individual and team goals that are set. I expect players to be always focused and driven
as a competitive athlete with a positive attitude and act with good sportsmanship and respect.
We will be involved in our communities giving back via player participation and community
programs that allow for team building and acknowledgement of the communities we represent.
Players & Parents can expect hockey related activities (practices, games, team training sessions
community events etc.) to be 4-5 times per week, and as this is a competitive team, I ask that parents prioritize our team events over other activities. Attendance at all team events is mandatory.

Jay Peak – AAA Elite Division – Jay Peak Vermont – Oct.10-13
OVSS Capital Fall Classic – Ottawa – Nov.1-3
Silver Stick Sudbury Regional – Sudbury – Nov.28-Dec.1
Halton Hills Winter Classic – Halton Hills – Feb.7-9
